Brands like Quince, compared one T-shirt at a time.

If you like Quince for plain cotton at a listed price you can read at a glance, start with the detail you want to change: a published fabric weight, the cut through the body, where the tee is made, or the store you would rather order from. A heavier jersey is not automatically the right one for you. Use the named models and their official sources below, then compare garment measurements.

1abel is a Melbourne label: one 22-piece system, one release a year. Capsule 3 opens Nov 11, 2026, and until then the shop is waitlist-only.

This guide uses one reference: the Quince 100% Organic Cotton Heavyweight Tee in Bold Black. Its official US page lists 100% organic cotton in a 345 gsm heavyweight fabric, a classic fit and a crew neckline, made in India, at $29.90 USD. The four alternatives are the Everlane Midweight Tee, the Uniqlo Crew Neck T-Shirt from the Uniqlo U collection, Asket The T-Shirt and the 1ABEL Tee. Each row names one product, because fabric and fit change from model to model inside every store.

Published by 1abel. We sell one of these alternatives; this is a comparison of published specifications, not an independent wear test. Sources and listed prices were checked on 13 October 2026. Prices keep their original currencies, exclude delivery and possible taxes, and are not converted or ranked. Our own details are declared catalog specifications. 1ABEL is currently waitlist-only until Capsule 3 opens on 11.11.2026.

The short version

  1. Reference model, Quince 100% Organic Cotton Heavyweight Tee in Bold Black: the US page lists 100% organic cotton, a 345 gsm heavyweight fabric, a crew neckline and a classic fit, in sizes XS to XXXL, and says it is made in India. It lists $29.90 USD beside a $55.00 figure that Quince labels traditional retail. One caution: the page title says relaxed fit while the fit notes say classic fit, so read the size chart.

  2. Everlane Midweight Tee in White

The US listing describes a crew neck tee in a heavier fabric made from 100% certified organic cotton, with a standard fit, and says it is made in Vietnam. It does not publish a GSM or ounce weight. On the check date it showed a $19 USD sale price beside a struck-through $48 USD, marked final sale. Sale prices move, so read the current listing.

  3. Uniqlo Crew Neck T-Shirt in White

The US page places it in the Uniqlo U collection and notes it was previously sold as the U Crew Neck T-Shirt. It lists 100% cotton, a regular fit, binding at the collar and sizes XXS to 3XL, at $24.90 USD. The page calls the jersey heavyweight but gives no GSM or ounce figure, so we have not assigned one.

  4. Asket The T-Shirt in White

The US page lists 100% organic long staple cotton in a compact 180gsm single jersey that Asket calls midweight. The cut is described as classic and straight, with Short, Regular and Long lengths across sizes XS to XXL. The page says it is milled, cut and sewn in Portugal and lists 65 USD. Look here if body length is the detail you want to choose.

  5. 1ABEL Tee

Our catalog lists 220 gsm ringspun cotton, garment-dyed, Portugal manufacture and sizes XS, S, M, L, XL at $75 USD. Boxy through the chest with a dropped shoulder. Ribbed crew neck and side-seamed construction. These are our own declared specifications. They do not establish that it fits or feels like the Quince model, and you cannot buy it today: it is open for waitlist interest only.

  6. Read the weights as a spread, not a score. Three of the five listings publish a figure: 180gsm (Asket), 220 GSM (1ABEL) and 345 gsm (Quince). Everlane and Uniqlo describe their fabric in words only. Weight describes fabric mass per area. It does not tell you how a T-shirt will fit, feel or last.

  7. Compare fit with measurements. Lay a T-shirt you already like flat and note chest width, shoulder width, body length and sleeve length. "Classic" at Quince, "standard" at Everlane, "regular" at Uniqlo and "boxy" in our catalog are four different patterns, and a dropped shoulder changes where a sleeve measurement starts.

  8. Compare the final delivered cost in your own market. Every price here is listed in USD, but one is a sale price and one sits beside a comparison figure the store chose itself. Delivery, tax, promotions and return terms can all change the total, so we have not placed the prices in an order.

Questions people ask

What brands are like Quince?

This guide compares four: Everlane, Uniqlo, Asket and 1ABEL. The overlap is partial. All five named T-shirts are plain cotton crew necks with no logo or graphic described on their product pages, but the published fabric weight, cut, country of manufacture and listed price differ from one model to the next.

What stores are like Quince?

Everlane, Uniqlo and Asket each sell plain cotton tees through their own online stores, and each link here goes to the official US product page we read, with a price in USD. 1ABEL also sells through its own site, but it is waitlist-only for now, so there is nothing to order yet.

Is Quince considered a quality brand?

We can only report what the checked listing states, and we have not worn or tested the tee. The Bold Black page lists 100% organic cotton in a 345 gsm fabric, says the cotton fibre is Organic Content Standard certified and says the tee is made in India. Those are published specifications, not a verdict on the brand.

Is there a Quince dupe?

These are distinct products from different brands. Similar fabric numbers or a similar listed price do not establish matching measurements, feel or wear. Decide which detail you want to keep or change, then inspect the exact garment.

Is there a Quince alternative with heavier cotton?

Not among the tees checked here. Three listings publish a figure in the same unit: Quince lists 345 gsm, Asket lists 180gsm and our own catalog lists 220 GSM. The Quince figure is the highest of those. Everlane and Uniqlo publish no number, so they cannot be compared by weight.

Which brand is similar to Uniqlo?

On the two models checked here, Uniqlo and Quince both list a plain cotton crew neck in fabric each store calls heavyweight, priced in USD. Quince publishes 345 gsm and organic cotton; Uniqlo lists 100% cotton with no weight figure and a regular fit. Our Uniqlo alternatives guide starts from the Uniqlo side.

How much is the Quince heavyweight tee?

On 13 October 2026 the US page listed the Bold Black colour at $29.90 USD, shown beside a $55.00 figure that Quince labels traditional retail. That second figure is the store's own comparison, not a price we have verified elsewhere. Check the current listing for your colour and region.

How does the 1ABEL Tee compare with the Quince tee?

On published specifications only: our catalog lists 220 gsm ringspun cotton, garment-dyed at $75 USD, and the Quince reference lists 345 gsm organic cotton at $29.90 USD. The Quince fabric figure is the higher one. Neither number shows how a T-shirt fits or lasts. The 1ABEL Tee is waitlist-only until Capsule 3 opens on 11.11.2026; joining the waitlist does not place an order.
